💡 Workaround: Simulating a rotating anchor point for props in Vyond

This came up in a ticket I worked on this week and I'm really happy with how the solution turned out, so I wanted to share it here!

A user needed to animate an arrow rotating from a fixed end point (think a clock's second hand) but props in Vyond rotate around their centre, with no option to adjust the anchor or pivot point.

Here's the workaround that did the trick:

  1. Add two arrows of the same size and place them next to each other

  2. Change the colour of one arrow to match the background (or use opacity if the background has texture)

  3. Group both arrows together

  4. Apply a motion path with a rotation setting to the group

The hidden arrow acts as a counterbalance, so the visible one appears to rotate from its end point. Simple but effective!
