Stuck in using Ai to create avatar image to video

Hello everyone, I am creating an introduction video for an instructor and I am using an animated character image for her. I am just having a problem with the Ai image to video feature. When I add the script with standard punctuation, the character nodes her head at the full stops and when I take out the punctuations from the script, the character reads all sentences without stopping. Did anyone else encountered this? It is not an easy fix to take out those head nodes afterwards in other video editing software. Any ideas how to fix it?
