AI Avatars Added to Pre-made Slides/Animations

Is there a way to layer an AI Avatar on top of an animation that is several scenes/slides? It seems like if I want to use animation, graphic movement, etc, then I have to build it all in one slide/scene… because the AI avatar does not continue on the next scene? Maybe I’m not building it correctly… but the avatar disappears when I go to the next scene I built.
