New in the Community: Connections ⚡️
Build your network within our community
Hey everyone,
We're excited to announce that we've enabled Connect in our Vyond community—a new feature that brings authentic connection and networking to the center of our space.
What is it?
Connect transforms our member directory into a dynamic networking hub, similar to LinkedIn but tailored specifically to our community. Instead of just posting and commenting, you can now build real relationships and grow your own network of fellow Vyond creators and professionals.
Here's what you can do with Connect:
Send and receive connection requests – Build your personal network of members you want to stay connected with
Discover recommended connections – Get personalized suggestions for people you might want to connect with based on shared interests, engagement, and profile attributes
Explore the member map – See where members are located and discover people near you (if you've added your location to your profile)
Build meaningful relationships – Connection requests provide a lightweight way to start one-to-one relationships before jumping into DMs
How to get started:
Access the Connections page – Look for "Member Directory" in the top navigation (desktop/web)
Check out your recommendations – You'll see personalized suggestions for people you might want to connect with
Send connection requests – Click the "Connect" button on profiles, or hover over someone's name/avatar anywhere in the community to quickly send a request
Accept incoming requests – Review and respond to connection requests from other members who want to connect with you
Tips to make the most of Connect:
Complete your profile – The more complete your profile (including location, interests, and what you do with Vyond), the better your recommendations will be
Add your location – This helps you appear on the member map and connect with people near you
Be proactive – If you see someone doing interesting work or sharing valuable insights, send them a connection request!
Manage notifications – You'll receive email notifications for connection requests by default, but you can adjust these in your notification settings
Good to know:
Connection requests appear with a "Pending" badge until accepted
Once connected, you'll both appear in each other's "My Connections" list
You can view all your connections anytime from the Connections page or Connect panel
We believe this feature will help strengthen the relationships within our community and create even more opportunities for collaboration, learning, and support among Vyond users.
